Dungeon Design Complete, Progress Slows, and New Systems in the Works for Crimson Sea
Development on "Crimson Sea" continues, though we’ve hit a bit of a slowdown due to life outside of the project. Despite that, we’ve made a solid step forward by completing the design of our first dungeon. This dungeon will set the tone for many more to come, each featuring unique boss rooms and creative layouts that will challenge players as they explore and fight their way through. While we haven’t yet fully built out the dungeon, the design phase is finished, and we’re excited to continue crafting more of these complex environments.
As progress has slowed, our team has taken the opportunity to refine our future plans. We’re aiming to design dungeons that not only test combat skills but also offer a variety of puzzles and boss encounters. The design for these dungeons is shaping up nicely, but with life pulling us in different directions, we’ve had to take things a bit slower. However, we remain committed to pushing forward when we can.
Meanwhile, I’ve started to work on implementing the mutiny and bank systems, both of which will add depth to the game. The mutiny system will challenge players to manage their crew’s loyalty to avoid rebellion, adding a layer of tension to the pirate adventure. The bank system will offer strategic management of loot and resources, providing players with more options as they progress. These features are still in the early stages, but I’m looking forward to seeing how they evolve alongside the game.
